Join MTRP Trail Guide and amateur astronomer, George Varga, and his telescope at the far end of the Kumeyaay Lake Campground’s Day Use Lot. No white light flashlights near the telescope, please. Cloudy skies and/or rain cancels event.
The Moon will not rise until after the star party. Planet Venus will be bright in the Southwestern sky. Up for viewing are the Pleiades (Seven Sisters), the Double Cluster in Perseus, the Andromeda Galaxy (M31) and companion Galaxy (M32) high overhead, as well as the Orion Nebula (M42) in the Southeastern sky. Three Open Clusters in Auriga, M36, M37, M38, will be also visible.
