Join MTRP Trail Guide and amateur astronomer, George Varga, and his telescope at the far end of the Kumeyaay Lake Campground’s Day Use Lot. No white light flashlights near the telescope, please. Cloudy skies and/or rain cancels event.
The Moon is waxing and about four days short of being Full. Planet Jupiter will be well placed for viewing and with luck, we may see Saturn in the light-polluted sky to the Southeast. Objects for viewing are the Ring Nebula (M57) in Lyra, Dumbbell Nebula (M27) in Vulpecula, Open Clusters M29 and M39 in Cygnus, Globular Cluster M4 and M80 and Open Clusters M6 and M7 in Scorpius.
