December 1 @ 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Join MTRP Trail Guide and amateur astronomer, George Varga, and his telescope at the far end of the Kumeyaay Lake Campground’s Day Use Lot. No white light flashlights near the telescope, please. Cloudy skies and/or rain cancels event.
Dec. 1 – The Moon will not rise until well after midnight. Views of the Andromeda Galaxy (M31) and its companion, M32, should be wonderful. Also up for viewing are the Pleiades (Seven Sisters), the Double Cluster in Perseus, and numerous Open Clusters scattered across the sky. Orion will be very low in the Eastern sky so viewing the Orion Nebula (M42) is possible.
