Park Beautification Crew

Seeking volunteers who are new to the park or regulars who’d like to give back! Join Park Ranger Julie Aeilts on her Park Beautification crew, held the fourth Saturday of each month (except July, Aug. & Nov.) from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Projects vary and include pruning brush, hauling and spreading mulch, litter abatement, riverbed clean-up and fence repairs. Please wear weather appropriate clothing, including long pants, sun protection and sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Also, If you have your own work gloves, please bring them along; otherwise there will be some available to borrow. Tools, snacks, ice water and Gatorade will be provided, but please bring a personal water bottle to refill. The general meeting location is at the Kumeyaay Lake Campground’s Day Use Lot.
