From contemporary swing to Latin jazz, this concert celebrates the Great American Songbook. Accompanied by Danny Green on keyboard, bassist Rob Thorsen and percussionist Dave Dhillon. For more information visit www.lillianpalmer.net.
Called “Magnetic and excellent” by the San Diego Union. Lillian Palmer has appeared on stage at the Old Globe Theatre, Cassius Carter, and The Lawrence Welk Resort as well as the East Country Performing Arts Center, Poway Center for the Performing Arts and Center for the Performing Arts California, Escondido to name a few.
Beginning her vocal study of classical music at the age of fifteen and then moving into musical theatre, Palmer soon discovered a passion for Gershwin, Cole Porter and the music from the Great American Songbook – she was hooked.
In her debut CD "Like a Lover", Palmer matches her talents well with Grammy winner arranger/producer and pianist Bill Cunliffe. “This is a top-notch recording from a capable and talented performer” – San Diego Troubadour. "Like a Lover" has received national airplay. The CD will be for sale following the concert during the reception, and is available on itunes.
